Dam how do you guys afford those boards. Arent they $400 or so :x . I was wondering whats the difference between the carveboard and those other smaller ones which seem to be cheaper. I may get that instead, when it arrives tell us how it rides and is it worth it?

Does it suck on mostly flat land?

It is pretty flat around my house; I'd have to drive a couple towns over to find an area with hills.

Cravies are great even on flat surfaces.

Just grab a buddy with a bike and hook a rope up to the seat post and follow behind.

Great workout for both involved.

The carveboards will help increase your surfing abilities and are also very fun, you can really crank those things.

I have the Carvestik and i think they are great gives you the feeling of ripping waves on Solid ground. great for cruzing the beach. Havent tried the bigger models with the big ass tyres.

Does it suck on mostly flat land?

I was thinking of purchasing a carvestick since they are smaller and cheaper then the actually carveboard which is like $470 or something. I was wondering how are they to improve your surfing ability and is it hard to use compared to other skateboards.

Well the carveboards improve your surfing ability because it improves your leg muscles and helps to improve your turning. And because of the trucks turning and controlling the carveboard is really easy.
