Wrap it up dude... You never know when you'll need that extra length for mothign things other than boards :p

Just thread then under the strap a few times or xxxxx it in the door if its dry.

I've always carried my boards in the back of my truck. A couple days ago I bought a roof rack for my jeep wrangler. I bought a set of Dakine board straps today, their 12' long. I was wondering what most of you all do with the excess strap? Cut it off to the size you need, or wrap it around something to keep it from flopping in the breeze.

We have a set of Shockwaves straps and they do indeedy have a humungous extra bit of strap....Definitely keep it - mine goes twice round car and then the end wrapped around the weird handley thing inside the door on the roof. Never know when you'll need to carry an extra board, or handy sized pieces of wood for those sneaky beach barbies!
