Every time I go surfing and I get pounded by white water all day or fall quite a bit I get this weird headrush. When I go to the beach to take a rest It almost feels like my balence is off and the waves are still moving in my head sorta. Some nights I can still feel it slightly when im about to go to bed, the motion of the wave. Im not complaning its an awesome feeling just wondering if anyone else gets this because Ive asked a few people and they all say no. :?

Going over the falls on a 6ft+ wave, bellyflopping...The head rush is more of a head ache :D

It could have to do with dehydration and/or physical exhaustion (and maybe in combination with cooler/cold conditions). Be careful and know your limits.

I've had it happen once or twice...

ive felt a wierd sensation when surfing before...i felt like i was in some sort of trance, and everything was pretty much moving faster than it should be around me...it happens usually when im pretty tired and no one in the line up is talking...or theres lots of methodical like repetition in sounds...

its freaky! i usually have to go in, lay on the beach and wait for it to pass...i have no idea what it is

I'm assuming cold water, being west Canada. You probably have water still in your ears and you should be careful to avoid getting surfer's ear.

Ear plugs while surfing in cold water is a good precaution.

oh i think i know what you mean..

I get head rushes quite a lot, and when I go to sleep at night I can always see waves breaking....it's really difficult to tune out of them..

When I shut my eyes, they are in front of me, just lines of breaking waves.

Combinationsd of tiredness from the seshion, water in your ears and in your sinuses all aid the disorentation :)

Ah Im glad Its not just me. Ya I surf in cold water with full wetsuit and booties. I get exact same thing iomarti. Ear plugs would be a good idea but it might make me feel like im in a more of a trance like state of mind.
