-is Riding a fish consider part of shortboard category or longboard??? :?

shortboard they usually are under 6 foot I believe but they do make some bigger like up to 6'6?

Depends on the shape, too.

A gun for big surf isn't really a longboard, but usually are over 7'.

I usually considered anything under 7' a short board, if it was a thruster/fish shape. Then you have the 7'-8' mid-group which typically are fun or egg shapes, and then 9' and up in classic 'longboard' shape.

Plus, if you're 6'5", a 6'10" board is still 'shortboard' for you, but would ride like a longboard for some teen who's still on't 5'5".

I know, I didn't really answer the question.

Anyway, a squat fish is probably going to be in the shortboard category.
