Planning to buy a new surfborad

Postby LI rat boy » Thu May 27, 2004 5:16 pm

I surfed a few years back, mostly using a 6'2 Rusty somewhat narrow and thin. Now I'm looking to get back into surfing. The 6'2 will not hold me.
I need a new board. I'm 6'1 and 180 lbs.

what kind of board should i buy? height? width?

thanks

I'm thinking an old school 9'6 x 23" x 3" triple stringer, single fin, classic noserider - let's go for a heavyweight volane glass, deck patch, really sweet red resin tint colour job on it with tidy gold and maybe black pinlines down the outside?

no?

just me then..........

It all depends what style your wanting to go for.
Do you want to continue shortboarding or switch to the longboard

I am about your height and weight I have 7ft shortboard by 21, 2 1/2 thick
and it rips

i think it all depends whether the extra weight you have put on is muscle or the energy reserves
