pressure turns

does anyone find, that if your heading for a rock or a person you find you can turn better, yesterday their was this little kid and i chucked my longboard up to the top of the wave and then then the wave broke and i re enterd like a m away from him, i recon if their wasnt a little kid i would never of done that.

anyone els find that when they have to tun because they will hit someone or summin they turn better?

The gouge in my surftech, which I wasnt riding at the time, would suggest that, no, I cant turn better to avoid smacking into my girlfriend in the water :oops: :roll: :oops:

Boscombe Beach this winter - was riding a wave , and all of a sudden I see this guy right in front of me... I reckon there would have been some serious injuries if I hit him, so I gouged the board back and then continued riding... I think it musta looked really good, but I was $h1tting bricks!

Ya this also happened to me at a local surf spot I barely go to since its all was choppy. Anyway I caught a wave and this guy was right in front of me so I quickly did a bottom turn of some sort and set myself up for the wave some how. I didn't even recognize I could turn down the wave and dodge that other surfer so quickly :) , weird!
