Just wondering if any surfers can help me. I’m in my third year of a Geography course at the University of Southampton and for my dissertation I am conducting research on surfing subcultures. In which I aim to investigate the experience of surfing, the embodied risk and appeal of the sport, and how identity is created through surfing.
I need surfers from all over, but particularly those surfing the Cornish coast and any breed (short board, long board, body board e.t.c) to answer my brief questionnaire.
If you would like to please message here or email cb1704@soton.ac.uk and I will email you the questionnaire in a word document, all you have to do is answer the questions in the word document by changing colour or highlighting your chosen answers, save the document and then email it back to me. All answers will be treated anonymously.
I would be very grateful to anyone who replies as you can imagine at the beach it’s the last thing people are interested in doing, when at the beach all were interested in is getting in the water.

Much thanks
Claire
