Environmentally friendly surfing

Postby MarkP » Thu Jun 08, 2006 9:48 am

I just wanted to put out a quick plug for the non-profit organisation I work for, the EcoSurf Project (ESP).

The organisation has been set up to help find solutions to the environmental issues in the surf industry, and to help promote the use of more sustainable, eco-friendly, ethically produced surf gear and surfwear. You can check out our site at www.ecosurfproject.org , there are lots of articles, news items and links etc on eco-surf topics as well as a directory of 'green' surf companies and more.

We have also just launched an online shop ( www.ecosurfstore.com ) selling only environmentally-friendly surf products, with all the profits generated going into supporting ESP and helping us put together our grant scheme which we hope to launch in 2007/2008.

Have a look, sign up as a member (it's free!) and let us know if you have any comments or suggestions about anything. All feedback is always much appreciated.

Also if anyone is interested in writing/researching or working on promotions for us we definitely want to hear from you, drop us an email!
