...how wide? Is this a "fish" or a fish?

It could be like 6'0" x 22.5" x 2.5 and it would work

or it could be 6'0" x 18.5 x 2.5 and it wouldn't, or it wouldn't be a good idea.

Fishes aren't great for beginners(not saying you are), they are good for good people who like really really sketchy boards in small waves. Big waves they get sketchy-er.

What a lotta people suggest (over here) for the next thing down from a funboard is a egg or a hybrid egg. I think a lot of people over look those shapes (I know I did) but they are really functional.

I'd say thats a bit too small - not from a skill or talent point of view, but simple physics

My two mains boards i ride are a 7ft magic carpet and a 5ft 10x21x3 inch retro fish. I'm not by any means a great surfer but i love riding my fish it's not easy but it's so much fun. Great when the surf gets a bit messy and is fine in head high waves.
Post up the link to the board so we can all have a look!

That's a nice board. Sounds like to me that it should be a board to go alongside your minimal rather than replace it but i think you'll have alot of fun on it!

Yes KS im trying to build a quiver withe my minimal for really small days and general 'easy' surfing, the fish for fun on slightly bigger days and ive also got my eye on a 2nd hand 6'8" thruster for more serious surfing. This way iv'e got all angles covered.

Do you shape for cash or just a hobby?
Would you consider shaping a fish for cash?
