WOT THE HELL?

i went for a surf today in about 2-4 ft messyish waves, and after about an hour i came out as i was drifting to far, and i looked at my board and one of my fin's was missing, and i hadent even scraped the board, and the fins wer glassed on???? wot the hell hapend????? also is the board still surfably, it the fin on the left?

you didnt notice it break off? did you ride it in with the fin off and not notice it? cause if you rode it in, turning would be out of the question, at least for that one side

The board probably won't surf as well and if it's not water tight then you need to get that sorted.
If you want i'd be able to sort it for you ie glass a new fin back on. I live in poole so pm if you need a hand.

did the bit where the fin came off look like a bitemark? maybe jaws is on holiday in bournemouth.

its still water tight, it wer a shitty board any way, also i wer wondering, if i shaped the middel fin a little difrently and snaped of the other fin, would it still work?

The first day i went out on my mal' i snapped a fin .. (playing in the shallwos like a noob!) .. i took the other out and just kept the back fin in while i was waiting for replacements . It was ok in a straight line but and it lost some stability but as a noob it didnt make much difference for a few weeks .
My bro has a habit of removing all fins off of old boards and just glassing one big back-fin instead ..seems to work for him but i'd ask the good folks here for advice :D

ive lost two fins before on different occasions without noticing until i fu cked up a bunch of perfect bottop turns. i dint think its that unusual, but then again i surf over a reef.

Well, that sucks!!

I suppose it's better than what I did.. Pushed the hole fin and FCS plug through the top of my board ridin a wave into the beach :lol: :roll:
