FCS M-5 and the future ahead...

anyone ridden them yet...? brand new from fcs. basically exactly the same as the FG series but made from fiberglass "glass flex"

ive been doing a lot of research and every description of every fin says that fin in particular is "faster, stronger, more responsive etc. etc." than the other. i think its a bunch of hoopla to promote each fin. but w/e. there are some basic properties of fins that im sure you all know of. i.e. more base = more drive / stiff=speed / flex = fluidness blah blah. composites, glass, carbon-lites, the list goes on and on, and so do the fin choices. ive become obsessed with trying to find the right fin set, and the expedition has been still going on. but i guess it all depends on the type of waves there are and your board. so ill leave that topic at that. anyway.....

you know how whenever you buy a new surfboard the store you get it from or whoever gives you the FCS G-5's as free fins. well the M-5 is replacing the "standard" fins you are given with a new board.

also, food for thought, out of all the fin combos there are...i wonder what your board would feel like with those CURVED side fins and the 3D red tip...hmmm, if anyone has this combo let me know!

I think you know a bit more about them than me, but I was looking at these fins before, they were going farely cheap on ebay for like £17 new. From what I read they are based on the FG-5 template which is the bog standard fcs fins that come with a surfboard (the fins I got lol) but have been improved a little. I cant really say anything about them but I didnt bother thinking of buying them because I thought they cant be a lot different.
