Typhoon headed this way (maybe)

Postby FormosanSurfer » Wed May 10, 2006 1:34 pm

It possible a typhoon is headed up from the Philipines meaning there will be some crazy surf next week. Typhoon swells mean double overheard waves round here. I am a bit skeeeered.

I dont think its going to be that bad because it is so early in the season. Typhoon season doesn't even start for another two months. I hope it brings some good waves without doing too much damage (Last year a chunk of the coastal highway fell into the sea).

I live on the east coast of Taiwan. The waves have already been pretty sweet for the last week (a lot of overheard to 1.5 overheard sets). I am looking forward to the waves that this will bring.

Well, unfortunately it went S.West of us meaning we only got 1 day of decent Typhoon swell (of which I missed the most of because my gf came over for the weekend, and for some reason she doesnt want to get up at 5am to watch me surf...)
