Surfing Waves

Am pretty new to surfing. first tried it about four years ago in Woolacombe where I nearly killed myself on the rocks from the rip, pretty dumb! have also gone out in Porthowan, Cornwall and have gradually got myself geared up. I Owned a 6'7" hotbuttered shortboard but at 32 and 13st just didn't really do me any favours!
Have recently spent 3 weeks on the north coast NSW and the bug has bitten again even harder so I have just purchased myself a 7'10" custard point and a winter suit and bits so raring to get going again.....
Really don't live too near to anyone I know who surfs and my confidence could do with some friendly faces around me, planning on spending most of my wet-time around Cromer & East Runton although will spend a week near Newquay once a year in summer.
Cutting to it, if there is anyone out there who happens to be in the area for me, I would be glad of a helping hand and a friendly face to share some surftime. I am planning a weekend in Cromer in 2 weeks if anyones around?

I'm in New Zealand at the moment but come september i'll be back in Norwich at uni. I dont have a car but hopefully i'll manage to make it down to the coast a couple of times, so feel free to get in touch.

i'm a beginner (only had about 8 full days surfing!) but I'm keen to make more trips to the south west and am looking to hook up with people and make new friends etc. i live in surrey by the m25 but i'm off to newquay again in june. if you're ever going that way and want a buddy...
