Surfing Waves

in just curious of how enjoyable it is, and how it effects your performance.

As I wouldn't know ...it is pretty crazy. It is hard to tell whats a wave and whats just sky!!!

Also you end up waking up on the beach with a broken board.

I wouldnt call what I did "performance"...............I was in Australia years ago, new to smoking and new to surfing. I was woken up by some Aussie boys I was hanging out with on the campsite. They were taking me to a secret spot.
Breakfast of Weetbix and a couple of 'cones' (bongs) of Byron's finest.
By the time we got to the spot I was totally wasted, but managed to paddle out. I waited ages for the 'right' wave, admiring the view and enjoying being stoned. I decided to go for it and went straight over the falls, full on spin cycle, hammered by the set waves and thought I was going to die.........I crawled up the beach and lay in the same position trying to catch my breath for half an hour!! I reckon if you surf well, and it's not too heavy, being stoned surfing in a beautiful place on a beautiful day must be the best feeling. I never tried smoking and surfing again!!

keep it simple go out for a surf and have a joint afterwards and admire the views from the safty of the beach and not in the middle of the surf

Surfing when stoned is lame, your all over the place! unless its really mellow small day then its lame. Save it for afterwards

Tried it a few weeks ago, got sooo paranoid had to sack the surfing, kept thinking things were brushing against my feet........turned out it was my leash

I should have clarified, if you havent smoked that often then you might trip out when you are surfing. If you are used to being high while doing other physical things like playing basketball, working out, then you should be able to handle it.

If you need to be high to get a kick out of surfing then you're doing something wrong.....

Used to get high and surf all the time. I'd smoke a joint and take about 5 "green" valiums (green are Canadian 15mg each. Not avail. in US) and paddle out first thing in the morning. Worked fine for me...I still have 1 good leg and my arms work rather well.

i dont get that last one... one good leg/ is that supposed to be some lame anti-drug statement?
its been flat here for monthis.. yeah, in hawaii. i dont have time for the north shore, and yes i do need weed or something to be entertained out there in 1-3 waves cause i dont even go anymore and im fricken sick of this already.

hehe, i remeber one of the boys who was a total bonghead trying to smoke a joint as he paddled out. When he reached the lineup he was still holding the spliff but suffice to say it wasnt quite as flammable as when he started.

We've had one out back on a mellow day before. We put it in a bottle. worked well!

how did you get your hands dry to hold it tho?

It was sunny. Just held them in the air for a bit.

Aye we found that problem on a previous try... went to strike the lighter but thumb was wet.. doh!

hehe, now i got images of some stoners further down the lineup waving their hands about trying to dry them so they can spark up

Actually i'll keep and eye out for that, if i see someone behaving strangely waving about i'll paddle over to them and see if i can blag a toke :L
