Hangover Surfing!

Postby bgdkmetzger2003 » Sat Apr 15, 2006 10:44 pm

:D Sometimes I find that when I get drunk at night, I can wake up really early. I'd say about a quater of the time I probably surf with a little hangover in the morning. HAHA. Thats bad I know, but Im sure other surfers on here know what Im talking about  Of course I wouldnt pick like a slamming morning to go out with a hangover but on the moderate surf days I find its a lot easier to wake up at 5:30am. It must be the way the alcohol messes with your sleep pattern. Granted, it doesnt feel that awesome but it feels good to go back to bed later in the day.

I just did that this morning. Got hammerred last night, woke up at 6 in the morning and just went out for some rides... Waves are small but I finally got to ride my minimal. The truth is, you know how when you're hungover you tend to get hungry, but the alcohol is disrupting your apetite? Apparently early monring exercise helps you get rid of that! Surfing with hangover... doesn't get any better than that.

Whenever I camp at surfers paradise in Croyde I always seem to end up in the really overcrowded local pub in the evenings, and having my morning surf HANGING.

It's a really good hangover cure, the only better one I found was some rocks that were perfect for jumping off, 30ft ish into deep water. Really refreshing!

I prefer to be ontop of my game when I'm surfing. The few times i've surfed with a hangover, the waves were really good and I surfed like xxxxx.
