Ok, a friend of mine has a sister who is willing to sell her board. It's a 6'10 funboard she says. Now, I thought funboards were the same as minimals in the sense that they are longer type boards. Can a board that shot "6'10" be a funboard?.

if the board had wider rails ( about 20-22") and its noes is curved and not pointed, it might pass off as a fun board, but it would be a pretty small one.

I have a 6'10 funboard. I think its the smallest kind of funboard you can get. The name of the board suggests the shape of the board rather than its size. They say a funboard is usually 7'2 to 8'2 because its just a rough average. Like I said its the shape at the end of the day.

What are rails?... the sides fo the board, or width of the board?.

The rails are the sides of the board.
