is there a specific type of music surfers listen to? any recommendations? :D

just listen to music you like. but i suppose surfer's are suppoesed to listen to chilled out stuff like the red hot chili peppers but who the hell cares what music you listen to ,if you like it.

lol i wouldn't say chili peppers is all chilled out, some of it is pretty manic, hehe. new album is lushness to mellow out to though... I'm going to see them in Cardiff in June!!!!

yeah i suppose. But there older stuff was more chilled out and better than their "by the way" album. i still wish i could go and see them though the tickets were sold out in like a minute.other stuff like:jimi hendrix, led zepplain, motorhead, ac/dc is good to get stoked on anything from the 60's is good to chill out on.

i love chili peppers, jimi hendrix, and all kindsa music!! (not pop or rap), and i was gonna ask what kinda music ya'll like!! so, what do you like other that red hot chili peppers!?

As the other peeps say, listen to what you like!
personally theres nothing like a bit of Bob or Sublime when cruising down the the beach. Incubus for getting stoked and Jackjohnson/benharper for the after surf mong... sweeeeeet

oh hell yer incubus are great. listening to ska is fun too, i like reel big fish, less than jake. lostprophets, hondo maclean, a whole bunch of underground music. 'emo' like brand new, funeral for a friend.... tis all good :)

less than jake are cool you gotta listen to them, nofx, capdown, farse, bodyjar, the lawerance arms, finch all great, they make me surf better, well probably not but its good to think so...... :D

Saw Incubus and Brand New at Manchester last night :D Was top notch..
Wanted to see incubus for over 5 years now!

ah man im so jealous!!! they are playing in cardiff but ive got a maths exam the next day so i cant go! how did brand new play? ive heard they arent all that great live cos they dont really interact with the crowd. bet incubus were awesome though...

i'm jealous too!! I love incubus, brand new, and ska is fun, it just makes you feel all happy!! i also like indie rock. oh, and i love the flaming lips!! My friend, who used to live in oklahoma, knew the band, and was friends with one of their kids!

Seeing the chilis in 1 month and 2days although every1 seems to have there ticket but us! also theres nothing better than a bit of juraSsic 5 to get u in the mood! cant bet a bit of concrete school yard!

i agree...you should listen to what you like not what you think people will like you liking??? did that make sense??? i l listen to Goo Goo dolls, Matchbox Twenty, Alanis Morisette, dashboard confessional, i reccomend them all!!!
