Any Londoners travelling south to surf on a regular basis looking for company on the long road down and someone to share transport costs get in touch! The weathers starting to turn..

I don't have a car myself and would rather share than take the train. Don't be shy!

I did surfing for the second time last summer, and i absolutely love it, However because of where i live (Hertfordshire, Hemel Hempstead to be precise) i rarely get the chance to do it. I took up snowboarding some months ago beacuse i cant surf around here. But would love to do a bit of surfing in the future! I have the same problem that no one else around here is into it so i have no one to go with.

I'm a London surfer, but I'd probably be driving to Croyde. And I'm not gonna start for at least another month or so. (money problems)

Also would be driving to Croyde as much as I can.

I wouldnt be able to go down within the next month, as I will be surfing here .

Me, or the guy that posted above me?

If you mean me, then its a place in South-Africa, called Jeffries Bay aka J-Bay, and the spot in question there is the lower section to "Supertubes" called Impossibles :)
About 5 mins walk from my house.
If i sound big headed about it... sorry but its the only thing I can boast about :D ... and the fact im going there in 3 weeks time for a holiday

The south coast of the UK has the odd day (or more likely hour) where the surf is superb - but 'beautiful' rarely applies

Forgot to add to my post, but I'll let you guys know when the time of year comes, that the place goes off its nuts, and you can see all the best surfers in the world shread it to bits.

Around June/July you can tune in on the web for the Live broadcast of the Billabong Pro (ASP Event), and not do a single bit of work for a week or so :D

hey, I'm a real beginner (only had 5 days of lessons!) but I want to start surfing round here. I live half way between croydon and gatwick airport. have my own car and board. want to go around easter but need to find mates to hook up with! Also, don't have a clue about where to go/ the best/safest spots.
If you're interested let me know.
