say guys.

i've got a problem identifiying a board i bought several years back. it's by "Jeffrey's Bay Surf Designs". bottom side says "Matthew Da Cruz", and "Integrated Epoxy Sandwich Technology by Ralf Hertweck".

it's a foam core balsa laminate, 6'4"..triple fin.

at the time i bought it i didn't think much about never having heard of it before..(impulse buyer). but now that i'm looking for info..phhht...nuttin!
all i know is that supposedly there were 5 imported to North Carolina. bought it at the Emerald Isle Surf Shop....they dont even have info when i called em last summer.

any help, or pointing in the right direction would be great!

still lost

I know the shop your talking about....i dont know why they would import boards from Jeffery's Bay....quick history....

J'Bay, as the locals call it, is THE place for peace and the perfect wave. World renowned for the safe beaches and surfing, J'Bay is home to some of the biggest surfing competitions e.g. the Billabong Country Feeling and the Billabong Challenge and also home to some of the world's surfing legends.

The names on it are most likely the shaper/glasser or who made the blank... if your asking if its a "name" brand then no its not, does this answer the question?

thanks for the quick reply.

the EI shop made some fine boards on premises, or at least did.

i know from reading about J'Bay (geographical;)....i just really want to know where the board came from......as to not being a "name" brand i'm assuming you mean from a well known, highly regarded garage. i had figured as much since nobody it seems has ever heard of it.
i can't personally vouch for the board in the water since i screwed my back up shortly after i bought it, never been wet...just a wall hanger now....beautiful piece of work though.
still...curiosity driving me bonkers......i mean surely they made more than a handful of boards! was just rolling through EI (work) and pulled in...saw it, an strapped it on. lived at Nags Head at the time ....right beside Newsoms shellshop, and stumblin distance from the "big pink bar" if you're familiar with the area

thanks for the help guy.....i'll get there someday
