Surfing Waves

so i was out this mornin at Risley Pier...was small but glassy just a fun little day...and im about 5 waves into the session when a movement catches my eye to my right commin from the pier and i look over and i see 2 dorsal fins pop up and i flip out!! no joke...i fell off the board while i was sittin on it...well as i scramble to get back on my board they pop up on the other side of me...3 more behind me and i realise its just a school of dolphins and there just passin me on there way....so needless to say i felt stupid and it turned out to be a really cool expierence...well after i cleaned out the inside of my wetsuit

nice! i've being with dolphins before! I wasn't sure whether they were sharks for a while! Anyway I see you live in Wilmington, NC. I just found ot today that my cousin lives there. What's the surfing around there like? If it's any good, I may pay a visit to my cousins in the US! hehe

it depens...its always rideable but rarely does it kick up over head unless there is a storm...but we get storms alot so its not to bad...wrightsville is a good spot right in wilmington but gets crowded...couple other places close that get a better swell.

sweet! I'm not bothered what size they are as long as they're rideable... Just wondering in case I ever go to visit them, so i'll know to bring a board! Thanks for the info
