You should use a thick base coat of a hard wax applied in circular strokes followed by.....

In all seriousness, as long as your stick's bumpy you'll be fine. Cold water waxes are good for grip but at 7-8 degrees I just go for a nice coat o' Mrs Palmers.

I have a friend who uses a New Zealand organic wax, his board smells delicious :)

thanks very much i'm using mrs palmers on its own as a test then i'll try something new. Anybody got any idea when the Ripcurl Boardmasters at Fistral is this year and if the nokia unleashed music festival is on?
Also a question on water temps i'm going to north brittany in france in june/july anybody know what the temps like there at that time?
