I´m from Denmark, and as i know, surfing is not such a big "sport" up here. But í´m having a project about surfing, and i would be very happy if you could tell me some thing about the history in surfing, like who started it etc. or if you could give me some links, cause i find it damn hard to find any info

if you want someone to hand you the material- go get 'riding giants' not only a sweet movie, but has the history of surfing in 2 minutes or less.

at the univeristy of hawaiii, i think one of the community colleges, but in the uh system, there is a surfing history class. it was like hist. 157 or something.
