Custom board questions.
Posted: Fri Jan 20, 2006 6:50 pmok dudes & dudettes... have emailed the guys at custard point about getting me a funboard. I wanted my own graphics on it so they emailed back and said email us your artwork and board dimensions and they'll work out a price as custom boards are their speciality.
I am a wobbler; as in can stand up but only for a few secs before I wobble off (tho sayin that I have been learning on a bic shortboard). Will tell the guys this in my email as well as my height/weight etc.
Their 'standard' funboards on their website are £280, is a custom one gonna be more expensive (im assuming it will be). Anything I should request specifically, that will help me to surf properly - was going to ask about longer fins for more stability or something???? also do you think it would be worth having it made slightly thicker so easier to catch waves with? or as the board will be 7ft2 do you think it would be too bouyant?
