Removing spray paint

Postby Warthog » Tue Sep 26, 2023 9:09 pm

Hi, I just purchased a longboard in very good condition for super cheap. Question is the guy spray painted color blotches all over the belly, looks like gloss enamel and I would like to remove. What can I use to without any damage to top coat? Board is epoxy. Thanks

Do you have a picture of the overall board?

Hey, congrats on snagging that awesome longboard at a super cheap price! The only issue is that the previous owner sprayed color blotches all over the belly, which isn't really your vibe. Are you wondering how to remove the spray paint without messing up the top coat? No worries, we've got you covered! Here are some easy methods you could try: rubbing alcohol, acetone, sandpaper or a commercial paint remover. Just remember to be gentle and not to press too hard, or you could damage the top coat. Once you've removed the spray paint, you can bring that board back to life by adding some shine with wax or polish.
