Hey, I surf in south wales - mainly go to caswell/langland as its easiest , I also go to Llangennith (my fav) when its good.

Aint been able to do much surfing in the winter now, havent had the time, but in the summer holidays I will go down gennith every week, I usually go to caswell after uni or something as its closer. Im in Swansea uni at the moment, live about 20 miles from the uni.

i agree with the summer bit the sea is freezin at the moment. wht courses u takin at uni.

i from rhoose near cardiff. well ive got my drivin test soon so ill be able to travel up there more 4 the surf but i stay up there in the summer hols. but at the moment its mostly southerndown and the beaches round there

cool, ye it will be better once you pass your test. I wouldnt be able to go surfing much if i didnt drive, so how old are you? You working or still in school?

i was 17 in july. just my second year of coll at the mo studyin for product design. try to work as much as i can apart from surfin to bring money in 4 all my hobbies

cool, ye thats good. I did Product Design (design and technology) for a-level. Im only 18 in my first yr at uni. What board you got? you been surfing for long?
Ive only been surfing for about 6 months, started on a 7"3 pop out board and ive now just bought a 6"10 funboard custom board to progress on.

The problem with Gennith is that when it's big and the tide's out it's the world's biggest b*tch of a paddle to get out!
Also there's the interesting brown foam effect that you get sometimes - 2 weeks of gastric infection from it - it's not fun!
I drove down from the Midlands to Rest Bay earlier this year, cos the forecast said 3 ft - it was flat with screaming onshores!
Never mind.
Might see you down there sometime Tube - it's my closest break
