Planning to get a longboard

Postby ultrakook » Fri Jun 24, 2022 7:11 am

I’m planning to get a hardtop longboard. I’ve been surfing for a while and I’m going to try surfing a longboard. What size longboard should I get? Does the rocker matter?

I will use this to surf Doheny, blackies, and san onefre.

Your longboard choice should be about 3ft over your height so 8ft to 9ft would suit well a 2 plus 1 fin set up so you can try out various fin setting.
A balanced rocker and it does matter, not too much nose or tail rocker as the more that gets the less capable they are in paddling.
With your age and weight you will have no trouble adapting and learning quickly.
Stay learning the one board thoroughly chopping and changing will disrupt your progress

When you see a board that you might like , post a picture first, there will be advice available :D
