Here we go then... this is what we've got for late friday/early saturday.
Fairly big low pressure sitting to the south west of the UK, which will send waves towards the south coast of the UK
BUT... by the time its developed its very close to the UK, which doesnt give the waves any time to clean up
And those closely packed isobars mean wind - and the wind will travel in an anti-clockwise direction round the centre of the low pressure. So the winds will be direct onshore, and quite strong
Later on, when that low has moved north-east a bit, the winds will switch to cross-shore, and eventually might even go offshore for bournemouth... but by then the waves will have faded
So... If you can find shelter (not a lot of that at bournemouth) or time it prefectly, there might be a nice wave
...But probably blown out mush
Now, everyone, watch as there is glassy clean waist high conditions all weekend long...
