to anybody who lives on oahu

whaddap...new to the boards...as well as the island ...and new to the surf scene as well..to be honest...surfing is the best thing ive ever done...but to tell you the truth i dont really know any of the breaks...(other than the famous ones that would kill me) so yeah looking for some surfing buddies in oahu let me know whats up....hmm and as of now i have a T&C standard board (longboard) and i just bought a shortboard ...locally made on the nor shore...6' 6" 2 5/8ths...19" wide ....and dude do i suck...ive been out every day and well yeah...i just need more experience...so..any local bruddahs holler back looking for waves to learn on and some people to meet

hey, where are you from and what brought you here?
the spots here arnt secret much, except a few, just go out and look. waikiki, diamondhead, and alamoana certainly wont kill you in the winter. just dont go out if theres a storm swell. out of those three theres like 500 breaks, so pick one.

hey for your your long board try out pops or threes in waikiki. If you go to first break by the duke statue you will be safe. Both Pops and threes (watchout for Sea Urchins in between Pops and Threes) the Waikiki and Kewalos at Ala Moana are good longboarding spots.
Diamond Head waves are a little sharper..but ofcourse the paddle is a lot shorter than anything on Ala Moana....
If I were you I'd go to for instance Blue Planet on Kapahulu and get a surf map...and as Sux said there is a lot of breaks...
