A surfing assignment with questions i need help with

im from sydney Australia and im currently doing an assignment on surfing .

i was wondering if you surfers out there would be able to help me answer some questions im having trouble finding information on.

1st question: how has surfing progressed since it began
2nd question:the changes which have occured and the equipment used
3rd question: current and future trends for surfing

Whilst I know quite a bit about it, I'm not going to write it all out, cos A) I don't have time and B) That'd be like writing your assignment for you!!
