Uncle Jaffa‘s first surf wagon was one of these the first car in the line a Morris Major 1600cc motor , lots of adventures, died of rust out and broken stub axles from wheel spins! 1960s

What an Aussie surf car park looked like, this one in western australia, distance between Jaffa beaches and this a whole continent!

1970s a street scene just up the road from DeeWhy at Narrabeen

Daggy old home units on reclaimed sand dunes but epic surf spots and rabid capable surf crew, but then a poverty suburb!

I'm not proud to say that my boards took more damage at home or traveling to the beach than they did ever did in the water!

Very funny BoMan, Those are some nice surf rides. Good old big cars probably got 30 miles to the gallon (oil) and much less for gas. But they were comfortable cars with lots of interior room.

Jaffa, many thanks! ❤❤❤ these stories & these vehicles!

Sorry for delay in reply. Work was wild in DEC, right up to Christmas. Plus, I got accidentally locked out of the forum again.

Since Queensland is the sunshine state and is currently having epic surf due to,Cyclone Seth ,and losing lots of sand from the dune systems, which are built on I thought I‘d show the colourful cars parked at one of the beaches there!

That is a pretty good selection of the cars in the 60s
