Surfing Waves

I'm under a wifeban for typhoons. The accompanying memorandum of the notice comments:

"Typhoons are not like storms in Europe and the USA. They're tropical storms. They're far more unpredictable and dangerous."

Should I fight this in the courts or beneath the sheets?

Typhoons are the same critter as hurricanes, USA and Cyclones Australia, only differences the Australian one go the opposite rotation.
If the storm comes ashore you won‘t be surfing well offshore you could get magic surf, question is, how fierce is your wife‘s anger and how capable are you of handling handle bigger more powerful surf!. I know in Taiwan the maritime police will not let you surf, fines apply!

Typhoon has a lot of variation in what it describes. Perhaps you can provide accurate info on the wind and other conditions that will be present when you surf. Most surfers only go out in the swell created by the storm not in the actual storm
