First longboard

Hi all :)

I've had 7'6 mini mal for a while and I'd really like to have a go at my first longboard. I'm just under 5'9 and around 155-160lbs. I've been looking out for second hand ones for ages but nothing seems to be coming up. Also I'm not really sure what kind of thing I should be looking for, or what size. I'd love something that I can do some fun turns and nose riding on, and something I can learn to walk on a bit. Also something that won't slow me down loads. Since nothing is coming up second hand, should I try buying new? And if so, does anybody have any recommendations under like £750? Any advice here would be appreciated :)

Any "standard" longboard 9'0" x 22" ( +/- a 1/2 inch ) x 2 3/4 ( +/- a 1/4 inch ) with a squash ( rounded squash ) tail and a 2+1 set up.

I don't understand what you mean by that. Could you please clarify.

If something does pop up, post a photo here so we can tell you if it's good or not.

Question: Can any of the shops get New Surf Project ( NSP ) or Torq boards there ?

OP, we're similar height/weight and a 9'0 NSP/Torq worked well for me during some rental sessions. A wave catching machine. That said I've a 8'10 x 23 x 3 custom on order coming soon.
