Trying to get in a good day's surf!

Postby Willyam » Fri Mar 26, 2021 5:41 am

I think the ocean has it in for me- I must have driven to Blacksmiths 20 times in the last two months and only gotten the board wet twice. The latest problem being the enormous amounts of rain that have washed tonnes of topsoil, fertilisers, chemicals and who knows what else into Lake Mac and the beaches over the last week. The water is brown with streaky foam- just can't bring myself to do it!

It seems half the battle is just getting a good day- let alone the time off work and away from the kids etc! Argh!

Don’t worry about the coal mine outwash. or the the dead cows just beyond the break line and the underwater barely visible trees wrapped with flood stranded snakes, the bull sharks and great whites are working diligently to clean it up.

Bonus point, tell tall tales of what washes out of the lakes and broken bay. Really is is worth a couple of days wait?

Hahaha! Ahhh I forgot about those 'relocated' cows... talk about crowded breaks- sharing with bovines could be the last straw!

Yuck. They have done a top job of stuffing this area up hey!

Quiet recommendations still crowded but a number of breaks, cabbage tree, boat ramp, and Gravelly at Norah Head,

North Shelly and Shelly, Bateau Bay, none are secret, if there is big swell go to,Terrigal Haven or Forresters and watch the guys do the big stuff.
At one time they were my big wave spots

Forresters left doing its thing, loved surfing it long or short board!
