Surfing in the South

I’m from Norcal and have been surfing almost everyday for a while now but am starting college in Tennessee soon. Obviously no swell is gonna be hitting Nashville so I was just wondering if there was anyone on this site that lives in PCB, OBX, or anywhere with surf relatively near Tennessee that would be willing to exchange phone # and help me out. I am planning on driving out to wherever there are decent waves on the weekends but don’t want to make an 8 hr drive based on an Msw report and get skunked so would love to have a local that could let me know when it would be worth making the trek. Would be hugely appreciated.
