Saw this on my FB feed. It's from a baseballer page. But isn't it the truth when applied even to surfing ?

No because you know how to surf. You could surf any board well enough if needed to.

It's when a persons thinks spending more and more money will make them a better batter, MX racer, painter, singer, surfer, without first having the basic skills, that's when it's unwise.

By the way, I got 10 boards in my tiny Japanese apartment currently.
