How to ride a quad modern fish by Rob Machado.

My take aways from this video:

1:43 Dealing with the building wave and going rail to rail to stay in the pocket.

2:19 Gliding in, no rush to stand up early.

0:21 Squared off bottom turn and later a hang five nose ride.

( and a whole bunch a full wrapping round-houses )

I love my quad fish, but there is no need to really think about how you will ride it. I have a stomp pad on mine and I press on it hard, sometimes it slides out, but I still get some wicked fun snaps from it. Just go out and try it

I just got this before lockdown. Not sure if a speed dialer qualifies as a modern fish but deffo a quad.... However the only thing I could probably replicate in that vid would be to wear a red suit. Like all decent sports people he just looks like he has so much time....I really need to get back in the water....

Beautiful board. Love the double wing swallow.

Can't wait to try it out. Got a good second hand deal on it and have a pretty set of speed dialer fins on order for it too. First time I tried a quad I didn't get on too well, but it was a jack of all trades board (a bulky 5 fin hybrid) , so this time figured I would try something that is designed around being a quad. Generally tend to find in life that a product designed to do everything usually does nothing very well (I. E. My useless 3 in 1 sander) so let's see if that adage applies to surf craft as well
