Traction pad too far forward?

Hello everybody,
I bought myself a new board, my second board ever. My first board was a 6’6 nsp fish and now I have bought a Torq 6’0 hybrid. As it is my first board I was new to the placement of the traction pad and I think I may have placed my traction pad too far forward. Can someone confirm or deny this? And if it is placed incorrectly how can I correct it?
Thanks!

Surf it and find out!
I personally would have it slightly further back (so the front of the bump is lined up with the rear of the back fin), but I surf longer boards so the fins are further from the tail.
Just surf it and see what you think. Each board will be slightly different. If you don’t like it, you pull it off or cut away a little bit of the bump

How far is the semi-circle cut out on the tail pad from the leash plug cup ? Do you have a photo from above ?

Try searching " Pro's surfboard quiver " and you can see how they put the pad cutout right up to the leash plug cup. Or maybe you've already seen that and think your pad is too far forward.
IMO, your pad looks about right in the middle of the rail reinforcements from the top view and at the front of the front fins, so you are not too far like some who but it in front of the front fins.
But I think you could have put it 1 cm. more back so when you really crank a turn, the kick starts at the middle of the back fin, where the side of your foot will lock in to.

Okay, thanks for the reply! Should I change it somehow or should I just surf it first and than see?

You can't really change it once you put it down. Go surf, it'll be fine.
