Pretty safe for me, I now live in Austria.
Little , ha currently at twice the size of the huge Californian blazes, only difference, not in one state but over all parts of of Australia.
Smaller big fires have joined up and like California whole towns gone!

Jaffa,
Where do you go to surf and how often? Do you have to go to the far side of Italy to find any waves? Just wondering. I was just telling my wife about your schwimwagon (sp?)

Snake there is an amazing amount of surfing around.
I’ve had three European campaigns so far, Two in Portugal at Peniche with my son and his family, and one trip to France to a surf camp at Moliets near Biarritz.
None was particularly outstanding as my body is still recovering from illness.
I have changed my boards for knee boards as recovery has left my pop up weak!
My other option is river surfing and about half an hours drive East or west there are two Austrian river waves or I can go further to Switzerland Bratislava, Croatia and of course the Eisbach in Munich.

About Italy, Sardinia will an adventure this new year the the west and north west coast there, Liguria, and Spain, France again , Morocco.

I am going to buy two plastic palm trees and go to Norway to surf above arctic circle.

I plan to get off my knees again , back to my favourite longboard, and I will have video and photographic stories to show!

I don’t actually own this but the owner let me pose my boards ( kneeboards in it)

And where I had a bucket list wave in Spain, Mundaka had 150 guys out so I think it became debucketed

This is one of my local options
