surfing in Scotland

Hi, I'm heading to Scotland in the next couple months and need some local knowledge. I'll be in Glasgow but I don't mind travelling far and wide, walking the coast, camping on beaches etc, as long as I can find some decent surf. I'm from Cape Town and have been surfing here all my life, mostly cold water so I use a 5-4-3 with a hoodie and booties, wondering if its worth bringing my Hurricane 6"2' or sourcing something there.
Any advice would be helpful.
Thanks

At the top of the forum page is a blue heading with surf maps that shows a basic set of Scottish surf breaks, you will indeed have to trek to some.
No baboons although some of the heavier drinkers might qualify. No great whites but some great pubs.
Beyond the map here there is the Stormrider guide both e version and book version of the British Isles.
Magic seaweed and Wannasurf also give an idea. Head up as far as Thurso which is one of the Scot’s premium waves.
Cold but I think the wet suit you have will be OK!
