Lots of beginners want to mount a GoPro on their boards to get feedback on their technique and how to correct their stance. But as usually the case, there's not much feedback information to be gained going straight in the whitewater soup. Here is an example of a GoPro being put to good use.

You can even slow down the playback to 0.5 half speed ( but turn off the sound because it gets weird )

I have tried that sideways slip and under so many times; I cant even get the top rail underwater no matter how hard I try. Fail!

It looks like the board must not have very much flotation relative to his weight, because laying down he has the whole deck underwater. However he is also able to get a variety of things done with that board that many/most people can't do.

Lots of stuff can be learned from putting a GoPro mount on your board. My board came with one when I bought it used. I learned a very valuable lesson from it.

He has the wave knowledge and technique to place the board on the part of the wave that pushes against him as he pushes back against it. ( at the right moments )
