Surfing on Midlands Today (UK)

Postby sinistapenguin » Tue Sep 27, 2005 10:25 am

Don't suppose anyone saw Midlands Today last night on the local news?

It had a whole piece about these 3 midlands guys who flew to Brazil to be the first Europeans to surf the bore that rolls up the amazon!

Then one of the presenters surfed the Severn Bore!

Wierd, you never get surfing on the news here!

Never even been to scarborough! :)

I always thought it would be cool to surf the severn bore, but don't really fancy getting my nice shiny board all smashed up doing it.

If I had a really old longboard I'd probably give it a go!

not sure i'd fancy it myself as a beginner.
when you see footage of it always looks fast and dirty(a bit like the women from that area)..."only joking Bristol gals"
have a look at Cayton Bay on the internet, looks pretty good.
