STOKED!!!

Postby sinistapenguin » Mon Sep 26, 2005 11:06 am

7 days away - 6 days of surf!!

Had a great week away. I'm all surfed up now and have the bruises to prove it!

Finally got my duckdiving down so it's sweet every time!!

Waves weren't huge, max of about 5 ft. Blown out for 2 days but always found a wave or 2.

Best was last Sunday - Sennen Cove (nr Land's End UK) spent 4 hrs in crystal clear water with perfect 3 ft sets!

Awesome!

I got all suited up and went in on Towan the first day - only had an hour left on the car park.

Got really annoyed with the red/yellow flags. There was no-one swimming and the 'surfing area' meant taking off practically on the cliff, but it was super clean - no wind and about 2 ft so it was fun.

Then went in at Gt Western next day - 3-4ft and cleanish so had some good rides.

Then a day off. Next day was blown out and horrible, but I had a friend come down to give it a try so I went in with him (wish I hadn't).

Next day the swell was backing off so we had to go to Fistral, which at that time in the morning wasn't too crowded so had a good session then.

Then down to Sennen/Gwenvor for a beautiful sunny day and 3 ft swell - all good!

I'm supposed to be going again weekend after next and can't wait! Looks like it's going to be a day trip now though so it'll be Rest Bay in Wales or Bournemouth depending on which is best on the day!!

Yup, I'm finally all surfed up and happy again!
