Bethany Hamilton (surfer) in Santa Barbara, 14 APR 2019

Bethany Hamilton is in Santa Barbara today. She's here to premier her life documentary film, "Unstoppable." . This is one of the promotional clips for the movie:

The event is held at the Arlington Theater built in 1931 on the former site of the Arlington Hotel, which was destroyed following the 1925 earthquake. The current structure was erected in 1930 as a showcase movie house for Fox West Coast Theaters. The Arlington was designed in the Mission Revival and Spanish Colonial Revival styles in a period when Santa Barbara was rebuilding following the quake. It is truly a neat venue. Many hundreds of women of all ages will attend and so will even more children. Mrs. Morini already drove billie's souped up MINI to the event. Unfortunately, billie has big house chores that must be completed today.

Ol' Man & BoMan,
it's appreciated that you appreciated this bit of shared info. Mrs. Morini reports the event was well worth the effort and the film was good, too. Mrs. Morini also reported that Bethany withheld autographs so that everyone that desired a photograph with her could have one or more. This was explained as an economical way to use the limited time available. I do not know about other people, but I'd rather have a photograph with the special individual than a lifeless autograph.

Haha well I used to have an autographed Souls surfer book from Bethany. My wife got her to do it back when she didn't like signing autographs. If you read the book you would know this LOL my wife didn't read the book. Not sure where it went but couldn't find it recently but it's okay because I won't ever read it again. I am not an autograph person but on the other hand way to shy to do a photo with anyone famous.
So what is worse.... dying or regretting it for the rest of my life? Obviously I chose not regretting it.
