Will Slater do it again?

If Slater wins WCT Quiksilver Pro France he wins his 7th world title - regardless of Irons or anyone elses placings in all the remaining events.
Will he do it?
It starts tomorrow (postponed due to small waves today) and waves due to be 3-10ft with mixed winds.
See it live here http://www.aspworldtour.com :D

Its a 2 horse race really between Slater and Irons but Fanning and Munro could possibly win. I want Slater to win this year at least anyway - don't know if he will do it at France tho.

no he's not he's too smart to do that. He might try and show off though, probally will, but not the point of losing the contest.

he might try his rodeo clown again though if he's far enough ahead

GO KELLY! It would be awesome to have a showdown between him and Irons at Pipe, but I want him to stitch it up in France.
Bon Voyage, Andy!

Ye, I think Slater will do it again, he's by far the best surfer, everytime I see him on TV he's getting like perfect 10's

Well Slater lost to Damien Hobgood in the quarters and ended up with a 5th place.
Andy Irons won, so that closes the gap and keeps Andys title chances alive.

Pasted from ASP World Tour website:-

"The world title race scenario as it stands now is:
If Andy bows out in the quarterfinals or earlier in Brazil, then Kelly can clinch the title even with a last place finish there. Should Andy make the semis, then Kelly needs to get through the quarters to win it. If Iron’s gets second then Slater needs a third or better finish and if they make their third final of the year together, Andy needs to win to stay in contention for Hawaii and Kelly needs a win if he wants to end the title race there in Brazil.

It’s safe to say that hard-core surf fans the world over are rejoicing at the way the Quiksilver Pro France wrapped up. Not because Kelly lost or Andy won, but because the Foster’s Men’s ASP World Tour title is still up for grabs and the saga continues. Crowning a champ with two events left on the calendar… sort of anti-climatic don’t you think? It might not come down to Pipe, but here’s hoping it does… and at the very least, Viva Brasil!"
