New Year surfing and drop ins in Hawaii

While the rest of the world is waxing up ( or down ) their snowboards and skis, Nelson Ahina lll is dealing with drop ins and snakes in warm Hawaii. The guy learning to surf on the brown SUP is going kill someone sooner or later. ( you'll notice him pearling multiple times )

The offshore wind is strong. I also think I missed the SUP guy, didn't see him.

The guy wasn't SUPing but he was using a huge board which Waikikichan says is a SUP board. It's pretty amazing how many times they showed him wiping out during that video

Boards are cheap in Hawaii? Amazing all beginner kooks have a good looking hard board instead of a Wavestorm as is common in mainland

I just surmise it's a SUP do to the full deck pad and the carry handle slot.

If you didn't say, I wouldn't even know it is a SUP. Just looks like a big longboard to me. I was trying to find the SUP guy with the paddle.
