Got stung by what i guess was a weaver fish a couple of days ago. Just wondering what you are suppose to do about it. Was told you are suppose to wee on it or is that a wind up!! Pain only lasted a couple of hours.

Think urine helps with jellyfish stings (saw that on Jackass!), but I do know for Weaver fish venom you need to put your foot (assume you stood on fish) in hot water til pain goes, water should be as hot as you can bear it.

With any luck it won't happen again. Never happened to me before. Just was wondering what to do. Will be a little cautious next time i am in. How common are these little ....things

hahah, would be interesting if you were stung somewhere other than your foot, arm for instance and all the advice says either "wee on your foot" or "put your foot in warm water" so you do, but wonder how the hell this is meant to help your arm. hahahaha.

I got done by three in an hour once when I was learning (missus was done twice in the same session!!), best way to avoid em is to stay on your board at all times. having said that, the pain isn't that bad, it just feels like you've gashed your foot.
They are around mainly in the summer at low tide.
