Foilboards in the lineup

I have yet to see a foilboard at Bo but expect I soon will. Do they impact the lineup like standup boards or in other unique ways? The hydrofoil seems more dangerous to me if someone were to takeoff behind me or bail out nearby. I'm inclined to give them extra space until I figure this out.

What do you think?

they can't do steep pitching waves very well so if you like steep waves they won't likely be in the lineup or at least not on the steep waves. Where I surf there is often a variety of boards out there. I imagine that when the middle of the bay is breaking how I prefer they won't be there but maybe they will because they can ride unbroken waves really well and just stay ahead of the breaking part of the wave but if they should get caught inside then it would be punishing on a foil I imagine.

It is a concern, lots of extra edges to impact!
There's foil and foil SUP , crowded surf would be nightmare for all concerned, rider‘s attitude and skill will be the final factor.
But simply put where they are I’m not!

Not only a danger to others, but to the rider.
