Can someone explain why the tide is like this?

East coast tide looks consistent with the peak and trough.
- West Coast
West coast have a small low tide then another super low tide later on.

Posted: Tue Nov 13, 2018 7:42 amsure, dynamical effects combine with the bathymetry to create higher frequency tidal harmonics that interact with the primary tidal forces to create these more complex tides.

Posted: Tue Nov 13, 2018 3:14 pmOh I thought this is just a thing in West coast. I've not seen anything as extreme as this and I spend a lot of time looking at the tide/forecast.
