Day 1 - We went from a snowing New York to 90F San Diego. I was sweating like crazy when we landed the airport and dressed like eskimos.
We took an uber to the Rv place and the driver was saying we must be super rich to live in such a nice area. We wish we were living there! When we pulled up, the owner of the RV had brand new Mercede and BMW. His car was super clean and he was cleaning the RV meticulously. I told him not to worry about cleaning because we are taking it to the beach. His jaws just dropped and saw my two little pupper were super excited. He was very helpful and gave us a tour of the RV.
Driving a 24 feet long RV is harder than I thought. There's so many blind spot. I consider myself a good and safe driver. It isn't too bad once you get going but I really need to double check when changing lane. We wanted to head to the campsite to do the hookup before it gets dark. I didn't want to get the poop and drinking water mixed up. The campsite was next to the military camp so we actually drove passed the campsite and went into the military camp. These two marine at the checkpoint who look like they just hit 18 stopped my car and ask for my license. They were carrying M4 and it was really cool to see them up close. They were being super friendly and I think they were more nervous than I am. It probably gave them a good laugh anyway to see a young asian couple with 2 dogs trying to drive a RV into the camp.
Setting up the RV wasn't that great at night, it was pitch dark and I managed to cut myself all over the places due to my delicate soft programming hands.
That's it for now, will send some photos and updates later. I'm on Day 4 and currently parked at a supermarket to fill up the fridge.
