hi, want to buy my first board. what is best mini mal or long board?

Depends how much money you got to spend and what type of surfing you want to do. Alongboard is more expensive but would be a lot easier to surf on. I went with a mini mal as my first board because its the best to progress on I think and its cheap. You need to get a board atleast 12 inches taller than you, you should get something tall thcik and fat something thats really boyant.
